FAQ

How many trophies are in Forever Ago on PS5?
TrueTrophies lists 30 trophies: 10 bronze, 14 silver, 5 gold, and 1 platinum.
Can I earn the Forever Ago platinum in one playthrough?
The public trophy list does not guarantee a one-playthrough route. Photograph often, search every stop, and rest whenever the game offers it to reduce cleanup risk.
Do the PlayStation trophies match the Xbox achievements?
The 29 non-platinum names match the Steam and Xbox lists in the sources checked, but platform tracking is separate and should be verified on the platform where you play.

The TrueTrophies list reports 30 PS5 trophies: 10 bronze, 14 silver, 5 gold, and 1 platinum. The Xbox list and official Steam achievement page expose the same 29 non-platinum names, but this guide treats the platforms as separate trackers. The route below is a planning checklist, not a claim that every hidden trigger has been independently reproduced.

How to plan the platinum route

Keep the camera out whenever a scene invites a photograph, and use the journal at each natural pause. The public Xbox and PS5 lists confirm cumulative goals for 25 photos, 50 photos, and 10 selfies, plus one vignette and all vignettes. Steam publicly shows the photo and vignette thresholds but leaves the selfie condition hidden. The collectibles guide explains the petal-to-vignette loop without pretending to have a complete location map.

Rest whenever a bench or seat offers the interaction. Old Bones is worded as “Take every opportunity to rest for a moment”; the public list does not define a chapter-select policy, so the safest plan is to keep a clean story run and take every rest prompt as it appears.

The opening room deserves extra attention. Complete the curious-object photo set before moving on, then continue the story. If a prompt does not appear, reposition Alfred and face the object; the game can be particular about interaction angles.

Route checklist

The grouping follows the nine-section story walkthrough. Where a trophy’s public condition names a specific object or action, it is written below. Where the platform keeps the trigger hidden, the route label only identifies the safest time to watch for it.

Opening room and Woolson Falls

  • Snooping Shutterbug - Take a photo of every curious object in Alfred’s room.
  • Glimpse Into The Past - Find a vignette. Keep collecting petals and photograph the revealed memory when one appears.
  • Focus Finder - Take 25 photos. This is cumulative across the trip.
  • Picture Perfect - Take 50 photos. This is cumulative across the trip.

Finish the room’s optional camera prompts before photographing Alfred at the window. At Woolson Falls, also photograph the signs, flowers, and prompted poses described in the main route; those shots build the cumulative totals without requiring a separate farming stop.

Karl’s Pump ‘N’ Mart and the first campsite

  • Before I Forget Myself - Stop by the local gas station and stock up for the road trip.
  • Patience Of A Saint - One does not simply interrupt Milton.
  • Shopaholic - Buy all the things at Karl’s Pump ‘N’ Mart.
  • Chrono Selfie - Take a selfie with Milton.
  • Hatless - Lose Alfred’s hat while taking a nap.
  • Old Bones - Take every opportunity to rest for a moment.

Collect the basket, wipers, cookies, and atlas before paying Milton. At the campsite, place photos in the album and use every available rest interaction. The precise timing of the nap and selfie flags is not described by the platform pages, so watch for the relevant interaction instead of assuming a name alone reveals the trigger.

Diner, road, and Sam’s detour

  • Trip’s Cancelled - You just want to go home.
  • Green Thumb - Beat Sam in watering her plants.
  • Back On The Road - Find a reason to keep going.
  • Make A Wish - Be quick when spotting a shooting star.
  • Self-Portrait Photography - Take 10 selfies.
  • Olympic-Level Stick Thrower - Start three rounds of fetch with Doggo.

At Highway Star Diner, complete the flower, jukebox, Maddy, dog-photo, and booth sequence. During the Sam detour, finish the watering task before Sam and start three fetch rounds when the dog offers them. Take selfies whenever the camera allows them so the 10-selfie goal is not left to the final section.

Captain Marley’s resort

  • Bowside 360 - Do a 360 spin with a boat.
  • Scallyrat Roberts - Learn what led to the resort’s collapse.
  • Guardian Lord - Beat the arcade’s high score.
  • The Plundered Plumage - Find Marley’s bobblehead.
  • Have a Swantastic Day - Carve your initials into a memorable tree.

Use the route’s bolt cutter to open the balcony, arcade, and souvenir-shop locks. Investigate the resort before taking the boat, play Guardian Lord, search the shop near the parrot for Marley’s bobblehead, and carve the tree after the island memory. The boat trophy requires the specific spin described by its public condition; do it during the boat ride rather than after reaching shore.

Winslow Lighthouse

  • What’s In A Name - Give Doggo a name.
  • It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Doggo - Take a photo of Doggo instead of the bird’s nest.
  • Alright, First Coffee - Finish your day trip to the lighthouse.
  • Shaun and Jason - During the climb, call out for Doggo at least 30 times.

Make coffee and feed the dog after the road stop, then call out repeatedly during the lighthouse climb. When the route offers the bird’s-nest choice, photograph Doggo instead if you are following the trophy condition. The beginner guide explains how to avoid losing progress between these interactions.

Williamina Peak and the Epilogue

  • You Can’t Plan Life - Reach Alfred’s destination.
  • World’s Largest Mosaic Pumpkin Collection - Find all of Audrey’s mosaic pumpkins at home.
  • Stupid Thing! - “Fix” the broken kitchen drawer.

Follow the snow tracks, reach Williamina Peak, and complete the final memory. In the home Epilogue, inspect the house before making dinner so the mosaic pumpkins and broken drawer are not skipped. The ending guide covers the story sequence separately from this checklist.

Completion

  • Petal Collector - Find all vignettes.
  • Troublemaker For Life - Collect all trophies.

Petal Collector is the broadest collectible requirement in the list. Do not substitute a guessed total for the game’s own vignette feedback; use the collectibles guide and return to any stop where the petal trail or memory photograph is incomplete. Troublemaker For Life is the platinum that unlocks after the other 29 trophies.
